Currently Craving: Birthday Wishlist!
I have a confession: I really, reallllly, like my birthday, a lot. Always have, probably always will. So, the fact that it's gonna be warm and sunny for my birthday tomorrow, means this chick is seriously pumped up! We have a packed day of looking at houses in the morning, lunch with my brother and mom, dinner at Percy St BBQ (their brisket fries are AMAZING), and ending with drinks in Manayunk. And if that wasn't enough, Sunday is another full day of birthday fun for Chrissy! (That's right, we get TWO days back-to-back of birthday goodness, jealous?)
Being in the birthday spirit, I decided to put together my ultimate birthday wishlist with all those things that have been hanging out in the purgatory of my online shopping cart lately. I guess what I really want for my birthday is a winning lottery ticket to bring this lot home, any takers??

Photos from my travels: Domican Republic
I know I said I would put these up a while ago, but that plan was derailed when my camera cord went missing. Oh well, better late than never!
My trip to the Dominican Republic was almost a month ago now, and I'm still longing for the beautiful Carribbean weather. Besides some clouds the first day, we had sunny skies for five wonderful days.

You may not know it yet, but you want to be this woman
Meet Phyllis Sues. She started her own fashion label, speaks Italian and French, writes music, dances tango, flies on a trapeze, and is an avid yogi. One would say she's got it all going on. Now take a guess at how old she is. Go on, take a guess.
Did you say 65? Or did you go big and say 75? Well, wrong on both accounts. This wonder woman is 90 years old. 90 years old!! WHAT?! I'm still struggling to do a push-up at 22 years old. How does Phyllis find the motivation to do all that she does? "I admit, I'm driven but I'm driven by desire and that's the formula. Desire is so powerful, like you are propelled as if from a canon. Desire to me is the driving force, but action is the result."
If you're like me and need to know more about how this 90 year old rock star does it all, pop over to the original article here and read her story in her own words. And take heart, Phyllis advises that she is not an anomaly, "I have realized, that anything is possible, if you like who you are and what you do. Yes, anything is possible and even probable." Preach on, Sista.

Pictures from my Weekend 2.29-3.31
Happy Monday all, I hope you had a lovely with friends and family! I filled my two days off with drinks by a bonfire, delicious homemade breakfasts, mini barbeque feasts, longs walks dows Main St, and ended it with dinner at my parents for Easter. And during all that, I was breaking in my new camera! I'm still learning the ins and outs of this bad boy, but I'm already in love. Overall I would say it was a very successful weekend indeed.
