Tales of Thrifting: A&V Flea Market

One thing you should know about me is I'm an avid thrifter. I love hunting through piles of junk to find that one perfect item that everyone else has overlooked. I have a handful of stores that I visit regularly, but in the coming months the number of flea markets, estate sales, and yard sales are gonna skyrocket and I can't wait to share with you the hidden treasures and potential rehab pieces I find!

This past weekend my roommate Chrissy and I teamed up with my sister-in-law, and fellow thirfting enthusiast, Jackie (from Adventurenaut) to check out an Antiques & Vintage flea market I had found in Philly.

The flea market, housed in the roller derby rink on 9th & Spring Garden, featured dozens of vendors selling everything from swords and vintage perfume bottles to creepy baby doll heads (I would not want to meet the person buying those).

We spent an enjoyable hour wandering among the tables laden with all sorts of fantastic finds. The only problem we ran into was that the people selling those items also knew that they were fantastic, meaning the prices were not what we were hoping for.

Even though we all left empty handed, I definitely found some inspiration for items I want to look for on our next thrifting adventure. So, if any fellow thrifters in the Philly area are willing to divulge their top spots, please do! And I'll be sure to share any great finds here as well :)
